United Way of Greater Rochester presents NFL Signed Footballs to top Readers.
On Wednsday, January 19, 2011, six of our top male readers from our Accelerated Reading Program received official NFL footballs from the United Way of Greater Rochester. These were rewards for their outstanding performance during the first quarter of the 2010-2011 AR Program. The winners were Dekovas Finley (46 books read), Kywan Washington (44 books read), Momoh Kamara (43 books read), Kenyon McClary (30 books read), Jerome Henderson (29 books), and Baylor Blackman (23 books read).
Store's Holiday Promotion Raises Money for the Club
In it's eighth year, The Bon-Ton stores, Inc. promotion has raised more than $900,000 Nationally for Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the United States by selling plush snowmen. These snowmen were sold throughout November and December and proceeds benefitted over 150 Clubs across the Country, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester.
This promotion is part of the Company's ongoing charitable partnership, both on national and local levels.
